In many cases, prolonged anxiety attack cause a person to develop a kind of morbid fear of dying or losing his or her mind. For these people, the fear of dying or losing their minds is very real that they tend to be obsessed with this idea. In fact, some people who are suffering from panics are so convinced that they are dying or losing their minds that they tend to think of nothing else but dying and going crazy.

In it is not uncommon for these people to rush to the hospital every now and then feeling certain that they are doing to die any minute if somebody does not give them the proper medical attention. Of course this situation can be quite annoying to the people in the emergency room but a person who is suffering from an anxiety attack can be quite persistent sometime. Since he or she believes that he or she is a serious medical condition, he or she will not stop pestering the doctors in the emergency room until somebody give him or her something. In dealing with such situations, doctors and nurses should just give that person some placebo and then send him or her over to the psychiatric wing of the hospital for some therapy.

This disorder can interfere with social events on a personal and professional level and most sufferers simply avoid such situations rather than have to endure them which can inhibit their chances of having a normal life. Treatments for social anxiety disorder should hopefully lead sufferers to live a fulfilled and normal life. As this illness can become more severe as the years go on, social anxiety disorder treatments should begin as soon as possible. This illness is often a lifelong problem but can be overcome with the help of treatment.

Available Treatments for Social Anxiety Disorder

There are some successful treatments for social anxiety disorder such as using medicines and psychological treatment. The psychological treatment focuses on working through the symptoms but the medication treatments often have quicker results. Many people do not wish to take medication for their disorders and so stick to psychological treatments of social anxiety disorder such as cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive group behavioral therapy.

This works well as a starting point, for those with mild symptoms and for children. If the symptoms persist then it may be time to try some pharmacotherapeutic agents. Therapy in the general sense can also be useful for patients as it can be supportive and work on why the symptoms occur and how to limit negative responses. Therapy deals with issues like low self esteem and low confidence and can easily be used as a treatment for mild social anxiety disorder in particular.

Medicated treatments are the most effective way to conquer social anxiety disorder. Sometimes patients are treated with one drug but more often than not they are treated with a combination of drugs that can have long-term use. It can often involve a lot of experimentation to see which drugs and what amounts work best for the patient. It is highly important that people understand that this is an illness and ensure that they receive the best treatment for it. Those with social anxiety disorder should pursue treatment as soon as possible.

Depression Anxiety Disorder is defined as “a state of uneasiness and apprehension, as about future uncertainties”. Dealing with severe anxiety disorder is different for each person, and what works for some may not work for others.

Some of the things that I use to deal with my depressio anxiety disorder are:

Meditation: Mediation can be very relaxing for both mind and body. By focusing on one’s inner-self and letting the problems, uncertainties and fears slip out of focus you can allow for a clearer solution to be found. Sometimes simply stepping away from your problems and calming down can help you see solutions from a different angle.

Exercise: Exercise can be very very invigorating. Anxiety depression can leave you feeling depressed and run-down. Exercise boosts endorphins in your body, leaving you feeling refreshed, happier and less anxious.

Yoga: Yoga is a form of exercise that does not involve severe impact. Yoga is more a series of fluid movements and stretches than vigorous exercise. The fluidity of yoga is very invigorating, yet it is relaxing and calming while still producing endorphins in your system.

Talking: Sometimes talking about the things that are making you feel anxious can really help lighten the burden of the inner anxiety. Find someone that you trust to talk to. By vocalizing your anxiety, you may find that you are less anxious.

Relaxing: By indulging in whatever relaxes you the most – a bubble bath, a walk in the park, watching a movie – you can allow your anxiety panic feeling to pass by not focusing on it and instead enjoying your relaxing time. Detaching yourself from your problems and fears, even briefly, can help you cope with anxiety.
